Murph's Creamery & Grill in Iowa

"Word on the street is this is a good burger joint. Okay, maybe not on the street. Getting gas in Grinnell, asked a farmer if he knew a good place for a burger near Meskwaki. Murphy's is worth the drive he said. Correct he is. Ordered a Murphy burger with a slice of onion. And a chili dog. Belle at the counter was great, I think she is new too, yet didn't falter. The Murph, plain simple tasty. Toppings fresh, bun held up, and the burger was near perfect. The chili dog won the race though. I mean it was grilled, charred even. Gave a satisfying snap when you bite through it. And real Iowa chili, not a sloppy sauce. Sadly, dessert will have to wait for the next time. Thanks Murph!!"

"Very nice place. People tend to be friendly. Ice cream is the real creamy kind. Burgers are good. Only issue is they close the dining area at half hour before close so either have to eat outside, which is ok if weather permits and not buggy or in your car."

"The inside was incredibly clean and the staff immediately friendly and helpful. I’m not usually a big fan of bacon on burgers, but the Murph burger balanced it really well. Phenomenal on the pretzel bun! Everything made to order meant the fries were crispy and hot (and they have the good, crunchy batter fries!!). While I ended up deciding on a simple vanilla sprinkle cone, the staff was ready to give their favorites and what was popular. Phenomenal spot!"
